Is Daytime Really the Best?

There have been some studies out that suggest that daytime sex is the best time to have sex. Now I will give my thoughts on the different times of day that sex is usually had and will give my opinion on which I think is better and maybe some of you will either talk amongst your friends, or lover or whomever and have a good time with this topic.

So, let’s start with night time sex. I consider this time frame to be generally between 6p.m and 10p.m. I think that this time of night is one of the hardest and also less pleasing times to have sex during the day. If you ask me, most people are trying to get home from work or school, unwind from their day, figure out what to eat for dinner, catch up to friends and family and do any workouts, if you have any, for the day. This is the time that if you’re lucky enough to have sex during the week, I think, is more or less a stress reliever.

Also, lets be forreal, if you’re married and you got kids, how likely are you to really get any dick or ass at that time of night anyway? And that answer is not often. So I think that the truth of the matter is that time of night is not the best time to really get it in, LOL. I freely think that it’s a nice time to enjoy some sex but unless you’re single and/or a hoe, you not really looking for that time to be the right time. HA!

Now the three most common times that folks have sex is in the morning, the afternoon, and late night. Now we know what those time frames are generally speaking. Early morning you know 6a.m. until about 11a.m. and afternoon times usually about noon until maybe 3p.m. and late night, HAHA.. creeping hours baby midnight until about 4a.m. My thoughts are that early morning sex is like the best ever!! Why not wake up to amazing sex to start your day. Why not have an awesome orgasm to help your day get off to a wonderful start.

Now that midday time, I will freely admit is like sheesh a wonderful treat to have sex. HA! I completely agree that this time of the day is a really good time of day to have sex because one, fewer neighbors are home so you can be a little bit louder than what you normally would at home. I also think that the midday sex break can be a great way to help get through the work day and even if you have the day off, why have a little spontaneous early afternoon nookie to make the both of you feel better. I’m really torn between whether or not early morning sex or early afternoon sex is better.

The late night rendezvous, now this is the kind of sex that’s usually the quickest and dirtiest, but it can sometimes be very gratifying. I think that people who are parents and the young kids who gotta sneak around or the free and easy sex feigns like getting it in late at night. It’s the time that you can generally find more options because its not a very popular time that people are working. It is generally a time when folks are looking to get into something and have all the thoughts to make something happen. Ha, I think it’s really fun to have a late night sex act cuz you can go to sleep with a smile on your face, hopefully.

So folks tell me what you think, do you prefer that early morning sex, some midday good good, the evening time relaxing loving or the late night freak neak? Have the conversation, be forreal and if you got the guts drop a line on this blog and I promise I’ll respond.

Is The Hate that Bad

So, I saw a tweet Stephen A Smith posted a couple days ago regarding fans of the Dallas Cowboys. To paraphrase Mr. Smith, he basically said that fans of Americas team are delusional and don’t have a real sense of reality when it comes to Professional Football because we support a team that is struggling to break through. Because we believe in the Quarterback who has had more success in Dallas than other QB since Aikman retired in 2000. And I know that’s not saying a whole lot, but the truth also is there are only about six QB’s in the league I’d take over Romo.

I understand that Smith is paid to be belligerent and have an opinion, but damn are you that much of a hater that you really have to call Cowboys fan ignorant, for lack of a better word? I know that since you’re a born and bread New Yorker that you are naturally predisposed to “hate” the Dallas Cowboys, but your line of commentary at times is a bit over the damn top. Maybe I’ll complain about your constant slurping of Aaron Rodgers nut sack. Or maybe how much he is in love with LeBron James. It’s kind of pathetic that Mr. Smith’s antics are pretty pedestrian and predictable. He laments how much he despises Jerry Jones and the Cowboys all the time.

He eats up Aaron Rodgers like he’s won three championships and been the best thing ever invented at the QB position. He treats LeBron James like he is the King of all King’s every time he talks about him. I think maybe we should question Stephen A and just how much he can be unbiased in his opinions when “his guys” are playing. He is staunch in his opposition to weed smoking because it’s banned in Professional Sports, but he seems to be ok with allowing a woman beater, Greg Hardy, to return and play in the league.

I mean listen, I think that every one deserves a second chance, but just don’t think that just because you said so, or because you defended the person, that it must be so. I happen to like Stephen A Smith, because a lot of times he does have a very insightful opinion on some of today’s modern topics in Sports, but when I see some of things he’s said about Hardy and the Cowboys nation. Sorry Stephen, just because your Giants have fallen on hard times, the Yankees can’t win a title without buying all of baseball and the Knicks… well, they’re the Knicks.. that doesn’t mean you should just release all your anger on folks that have nothing against you.

Ignorance Ain’t Always Bliss

In my last blog I talked about the debate about the Academy Awards and the fight within some of the elite of Black Hollywood over whether to boycott the Awards show or not. One of the most recent voices to speak is Stacey Dash decided to open her mouth and say that we don’t need anything for Black people, we should just assimilate to the White established awards and push for our people to be included. I want to ask Stacey: How has that worked the over the past 50 years or so?

I was listening to V-103 this morning and Ryan Cameron said it best, “If we don’t what our history is, how the statements that we do?” Ms. Dash, do you know Black history? We need to stop saying that we don’t need organizations, television stations, awards shows and other things for our people. We do need these things because the White society that controls the mainstream awards and programs aren’t very reticent to invite us in. This is what I mean by Black people getting a lil bit too much of the White man’s money and forgetting that we needed these platforms.

I guess she forgot that when she was having guest roles on BET’s The Game and collecting checks from the network. Or maybe, she just wants to ignore the network since she’s had roles on major motion picture studios. I much rather we use this moment to come together and show the American public that we can put on a show just as good as the Academy Awards. Let’s not forget we have the Image Awards and the NAACP Awards to recognize our people for their outstanding performances.

Maybe we could spend some time promoting these types of shows and using the talent and time of our folks in Hollywood to make these Awards rival the Oscars and Golden Globe Awards. I guess if all of these founders of HBCU’s had followed Stacey Dash’s opinion we wouldn’t have Morehouse College and Spelman College. There would be no Hampton or Howard University. We wouldn’t have had Morris Brown College or FAMU, Bethune Cookman or Southern University. There may have never been a coach Eddie Robinson at Grambling State University. The Aggies of North Carolina A & T wouldn’t be here and there would be no Honda Battle of the Bands here in Atlanta at the Dome.

I’m sorry Ms. Dash this is one time where your thoughts may have been well intended, but the reality is BET, TV One, and all the Black owned and operated businesses and educational institutions are needed and damn it I’m proud to support them and to have attended one of the finest institutions in America.. Morehouse College.

The White Debate

So the Academy Awards nominations came out and now for the second year in a row there aren’t any Black Actors or Actresses nominated and the outrage has begun. Not like the normal window dressing though this time. Now we have A List Hollywood celebs who have decided to Boycott this event and the shows host, Chris Rock, has been extremely critical of the folks who nominate the nominees yearly. That protest has led to a couple of personal battles that have erupted beneath the surface that makes all this very interesting, but it also calls attention to one of the fundamental problems with the Black Community.

As Spike Lee and Jada Pinkett-Smith make public their intent to skip the awards show, the later doing so in a very social media plea to Black America to unite together to force change. Meanwhile, Janet Hubert, the former Aunt Vivian on the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, came out and delivered a scathing rebuke of Jada and Will, who hadn’t said anything yet. She indicated that their disgust of the snub by the Academy was nothing and that there were more important prejudicial issues going on in society that really needed public rallying.

She indicated that Will declined to use his power as star of their hit t.v. show to negotiate raises for all those involved with the show, mind you this was a 20 something year old actor who was now in unfamiliar territory. This was a kid who knew nothing about that type of power and was a young kid trying to grow up. She also mentioned that the Smith’s could have used their money and production company to further more Black careers, than just using their company to produce themselves, their friends and family members.

She raped Will and Jada over the coals and made it seem as though she was still very bitter because Will didn’t take up arms with her more than 20 years ago. While I don’t disagree with her base principle, I do think that maybe it could have been done a little better as to not be as messy and distracting from a truly valid point.. Hollywood is still really white.

Why is that one, it takes for us to have these type of events before we come together as a people to revolt against the machine? Two, why is it that once we do try to take a stand, rather than band together and form the most powerful army we can, we instead beat each other up and then bitch about shit from 20 years ago. I’m sorry Janet, get yo tight draws out your ass and shut the fuck up. I’m sorry bicker when the shit is done, but right now damn it, it’s time to band together. But that’s where White people have us beat, we can’t stop fighting each other to get what we want. They know how to turn us against each other without even trying.

To Honor King

Yesterday we paid honor to a man who stood for the cause of Colored People. We stopped to pay tribute who gave his life to further the advancement of Black People. We paused to look back at the path that we’ve traveled to get to where we are today. All of the blood shed, the tears cried, the humility taken, the beatings and murders administered. We are a people that have been belittled in this country since the beginning of time. We have been counted as 3/5 of a person and less than equal for generations on end.

Back in the 1960’s it was the March for Civil Rights. Trying to get equal rights for African Americans and Women. Trying to desegregate the South and make it legal for all races of people to attend the same schools. It was to protect Black lives and advance America as a nation. Today, we see the Black Lives Matter movement and it’s based upon similar principles. To remind the world that Black Lives Matter just as much as White and Latino lives.

We are living in a time where Police abuse and Judicial prejudice are on the rise. We are living in a time where we are comfortable electing a egotistical asshole to be President of the United States, over pragmatic approaches of Kasich or possibly Marco Rubio. We are living in a time when Supreme Court Justices are wanting to strike down Affirmative Action and want to gut the rights of American Unions. We are watching as many corporations are recording record profits and refusing to reinvest that in their people with raises in pay, but rather giving the money to those same CEO’s that already make millions of dollars a year.

The equality that King and Malcolm and others fought and died for is being stripped away slowly but surely. States tightening up the their Voter ID requirements. States trying to suppress the Colored vote by redistricting us into smaller, more marginalized districts. Whites realizing that their majority is steadily shrinking doing everything within their power to make sure their Might is on display. We are existing at a time when those around the country have no respect for our first Black President and First Lady if they don’t agree with their politics.

The honest truth is we should all be our Brothers Keeper. White and Black, Asian and Jewish. All people inbetween need to be aware that if we don’t protect each other and watch out for each other we will be left alone. I think one of the biggest lessons that we learned from this movement is the power of togetherness. When we can bind together in the face of tremendous odds and overcome. Please people I don’t care what side of the spectrum you sit on, if you really care about your country then you will take offense to the vitriol and disdain in our politics. You will oppose the injustices and inequalities we have in this country and work together to a solution.

It’s really sad that Dr. King’s speech is still applicable to todays time. Yes, we have come a ways from the old days of Jim Crow and all of that. But if you take a hard look we are still in so many ways trapped in the 1960’s. We’re still fighting for freedom and the hate that exists needs to end. We are one America and one People. Let’s show the world just how great America can truly be.

Bernice Said It Best..

I was listening to a snippet of Bernice King’s speech yesterday from Dr. King’s service and she said something that was spot on, and if you’ve been reading my blog it’s been the underlying tone of all my writing about this particular subject.. If we don’t wake up and fast we will end up with a Reality TV star who knows nothing about running a nation being the President of the United States. We will have someone who is using the most powerful nation in the free world as another “Project” and “Toy” for him to play with.

I was watching as Sarah Palin endorsed him today for President and I must tell you that I’m just a little bit perplexed as to why she is up there stumbling over her words to endorse Mr. Trump. She says that she is anti-establishment, and I must give her credit, she has been steadfast in the Tea party movement. But, please lets not forget she was the V.P. pick for John McCain when he ran in 2008. Ummm.. that’s the biggest Establishment candidate in Republicans circles that you can have.

She tried to articulate that Trump would “Fire” people, a line from his former television show, as a means to restore American Might in the world. I’m sorry is a television show or the fuckin’ race for President of the United States. I’ve absolutely had enough of the media peddling this man for the past year plus now. I agree that some of the other candidates vying for President aren’t the most charismatic, but they are all far more qualified for the title of President than Trump.

This is probably one of the most important elections that we’ve had since 2008 we elected Barack Obama President. This is a chance to cement the legacy of Obama and have a President who will continue to forward the Progressive agenda, or turn back to a party that really wants to separate classes and make sure states rights and Big Business are supreme to the best interest of the country as a whole.  Seeing Palin up there stammering through her words and trying to make the case for Trump makes me further know just how critical this election will be.

America please wake up and realize that we need to take a long look at all of the candidates running for President, we need to make the best informed decision possible.

Another Blow

As it’s no secret that I am an avid supporter of President Barack Obama, I must say that the news this morning that we got four American back from Iran in exchange for six of theirs, I must say that I thought to myself..Damn it he did it again. With a smile I have to think how much swag Barack Obama must be walking around with these days.

As I sit and have conversations with folks who say that he’s out of touch because his final State of the Union address was not a doom and gloom speech, I try to remind them that if he used that speech for that he would have been vilified. There is no doubt that there is significant work to do domestically and abroad. But, lets also be very clear, President Obama has made some gutsy moves and quite a few of them have paid off big time.

Now I know that a lot of Republicans and uptight Conservatives won’t see it that way. They will find a way to skew it so that he doesn’t get the credit that he and his Secretary of State deserve. They will find a way to make sure that they continue to focus on the things that Obama hasn’t done, but you know that’s just par for the course for this President. He has had to live in a bubble where his accomplishments are diminished because most of the White elitist that operate in Washington D.C. and in the media don’t really that man to succeed, nor have a legacy that withstands the test of time.

It has been great to watch this man navigate through all the bull shit to continue to deliver monumental moments like this and others in his Foreign Policy agenda. I don’t agree with all the choices he’s made as Commander in Chief, but I can see how his efforts and policies have helped to make this country better. He is using Diplomacy first to engage the world before using American military might. But as he said in his address, if anyone thinks that he isn’t strong on Foreign Policy ask Osama Bin Laden and some of the other terrorist leaders.

That’s right you can’t, because they’re dead. So as another awesome headline hit the television and print media today, I think we have to be so mindful that while Republican Presidential candidates distort his record, just look at all his accomplishments with an unbiased eye and you will see he is on a roll. Keep givin’ em hell Obama!

Killing Em Hard

As I was watching the North Carolina versus NC State game today, one of the legends in broadcasting, Dick Vitale, said something that really sp0ke to my ear. He talked about how easily as a society we give money to schools for sports facilities to be built, but when it comes to giving to a truly worthy cause it’s like we forget how to give money. Cancer is taking lives hand over fist and it’s being discriminant to age, race, gender, class or any other demographic breakdown you choose to use.

It has taken the lives of some of the most famous individuals in the world and it has also touched every day people. It touches us all in some way or the other. None of us are immune to having that diagnosis one day, and I’m sure at some point in our lives we will know someone who has been afflicted with this hellacious illness. It’s really sad though that it takes having to beg and bled folks for money before we step up as a nation to address this killer.

See we can protest violence and heap praise on our star athletes who retire, but we can’t join forces to stamp out this deadly disease that’s killing millions. All types of cancer are on the rise in this country and around the world. We are the nation that is suppose to have the most intelligent and advanced scientists and medical personnel. But, I want to know when will someone galvanize them to come up with solutions to curing these awful illnesses.

Me personally, I’ve had teachers stricken with cancer and even lost one teacher because of this beast. My grandma has had several bouts with the monster and my first ever boyfriend is a cancer survivor. I really feel like anything that we can do as a people to draw attention to, give our money, time and resources to, in order to find a way to eradicate this killer is our obligation as people. Let’s partner with the rest of the world and figure out how to take natural medicine with pill and radiation medication to get rid of this shit.

Maybe I need to keep writing about it, in hopes that people will read this and enough conversation will go on in your homes that we can figure out how to take all of our collective efforts to contribute to the greater cause. America and the world we must find the cures and make them available. The lives of those we love and maybe even your own, will depend on it.

Black is still Whack..

As anyone who has read my blogs will tell you, I’m not very hesitant to call a spade a spade. When I first decided to write this blog I was going to solely keep it focused on the imbalance in the NFL with the disparity between Head Coaches and Top Coordinators that are Black and White. Watching an episode of ESPN’s Outside the Lines, brought back many thoughts and conversations I’ve had regarding this matter. But because of those thoughts I want to expand it more broadly.

The interesting thing to me in this country is that Republicans and to some extent Democrats, love to say that they want equal opportunities for all citizens in the United States. And Republicans love to say that their party is inclusive, but when you look at the policies they mostly pass it’s for the Rich Elite, mostly White, class of Americans and they leave Middle Class families to keep humping it just to try and make it out of their current situations.

Look at Corporate America. Companies are quick to hire Black folks to be Entry level workers and Middle Mangers, but tell me how many of these companies are quick to give a Black person CEO, COO, CFO titles? That same dynamic is ever present in the NFL. Of the 32 teams, there are only 6 Black head coaches in the league. Of the 48 Offensive and Defensive Coordinators there are only 13 Black ones. But you look at the numbers of players and it’s roughly 75 to 80 percent.

If you want to expand it even further look at the United States Senate. You can count on one hand how many Black people are sitting Senators and if I’m not mistaken there have only been 5 or 6 Black Senators in American history. We’re currently at the end of the first Black President’s term in the United States and his treatment by the opposition has been completely disgraceful. The amount of respect shown Black people in this country, to me, is still at an unacceptably low level.

We’ve gotten in the door just a little bit, but lets be real, it damn sure ain’t enough to say we don’t need Affirmative Action as some on the Right, and in the Supreme Court of the United States, would have you believe. There is still a significant wealth gap, education gap, judicial gap between the now non-majority White Americans and Black Americans. Yes I completely agree that all lives in this country matter, but Dammnit Black Lives Matter just as much.

At some point in time I would like for everyone in this country to realize that we need to do more to make sure the playing field continues to be level. I’m not saying pass anyone over for opportunities just to add the token Black person, cuz lets be honest that’s happened too. But what I do want is for the chances to be equal and fair. I know that’s asking for a whole lot from the White folks that control hiring and some of those Black folks who want to be White or feel they need to be tougher to prove their equal. But maybe at some point in our future we will realize that when we give every one a fair shot, this country does even better than when a group is marginalized.

Just think about it

Enough Already!

It’s no big secret that I can’t stand how much ESPN sucks the dick of the South Eastern Conference during College Football season, and most specifically the Alabama Crimson Tide. I get it, they’re back at their pinnacle again with Nick Saban as the maestro of the program. And I also understand that the historic run the conference has been on winning I think 8 of the last 10 National titles. But let me also be clear, there is no doubt in my mind that some that had to do with ESPN’s incessant desire to push the SEC above all others on their television programming during BCS era.

Let me simplify and clarify for you. When the Associated Press and Coaches Poll, and later Computer polls determined which two teams would play for the National Championship each year, ESPN seemed to flex its influence on the sport by crowing the SEC the greatest Conference on the face of the planet ever. They anointed Alabama the best team in history and used the other top heavy schools as the reason this conference should always have a seat at the Championship table. It was soo bad that one year they actually had an All SEC title game.

Again, I will freely admit that I have enjoyed watching some of the games in that Conference and Alabama, LSU, Florida, to a lesser extent lately, Georgia, to a lesser extent, and most recently Ole Miss have been the heads of this conference. But let’s not forget all the teams in the middle and lower end of this conference that haven’t challenged for anything in decades. This conference is not the dominant powerhouse that ESPN makes it out to be. And the kissing of the ring bull shit that they’ve done with Alabama is just sickening.

I hope that as parity continues to rein and the ACC, Big Ten, PAC 12, Big 12 and maybe Notre Dame continue to show that they can go toe to toe with the “Mighty” SEC, we can get more even coverage and Programs like Clemson, Florida State, Oregon, Ohio State and others that have proven over the past 5 years of so to be equal to the Tide on the gridiron. One can only hope!
